To ensure the well-being of your reptiles, it is essential to position the UVB reptile vapor heat lamp in a way that allows them to retreat to cooler areas of the terrarium when needed. There should be a distance of approximately 30 - 40 cm between the lamp and the reptiles. When using the lamp for the first time, it is important to allow the reptiles to acclimate to the radiation. We recommend starting with 30 minutes of exposure per day and gradually increasing it over 2 – 3 weeks to up to 3 hours a day, depending on the species of the animal. The spotlight can also be used as all-day lighting if necessary, but it is important to ensure that the entire terrarium does not overheat and that the reptiles have areas to retreat to.

The lamp requires approximately 5 minutes to warm up and reach its full radiation capacity. It is a mixed-light lamp that starts on its own and does not require control gear. After being switched on or experiencing a power interruption, it may take some time to reach full brightness. In the event of overheating, an internal thermal switch will turn the lamp off, but it will switch on again automatically once it has cooled off. If the lamp does not switch on again on its own or flickers when you attempt to switch it on, switch off the power supply and allow the lamp to cool off for 10 - 15 minutes. It will switch on again when the power supply is restored.

Warning The lamp gets very hot during use. Do not touch it and keep it out of reach of children. Control the distance from the reptiles. It should only be installed in a vertical position. Do not spray it with water. Avoid turning the bulb on and off frequently.
